Been to BKK with my mum on the 8th May – 12th May. I just want to thank God for a super duper safe trip. On the going trip, where news of the Cyclone wave in Myanmar were rumored to hit BKK, nothing happened. On the return trip, news of China’s Earthquake affected BKK with slight tremors felt reported in the news, nothing happened to us. Thank God for protection, these kind of things should never be taken for granted.
Our trip, was planned very hastily and before I knew it, tickers booked and so was hotel. Stayed at Baiyoke sky, the last time we went BKK, we stayed at that hotel as well. It’s the tallest hotel in BKK with up to 84th storeys. Our daily breakfast was at the 78th floor.
Reaching the hotel, we were were given a pleasant surprise where our rooms were upgraded for FREE! Yippee! Quite cool, when we got into the room, I was impressed. The toilet was like twice the size of the normal room, we even had a living room. Sweet! (Photos were taken like on my 2nd night stay, that explains the mess)
I tell you the housekeeping did me such a big favor, I locked my luggage bag with a small lock everyday and I have two spare keys which I took tremendous effort in making sure I do not lose it. Guess what, on the very 3rd day, I lost one of the keys; I flipped my whole room in vain. When I returned home after shopping, the key was placed on the table. SWEET A NOT. I’m getting more blur as the days go by.

My original itinerary was as follows:
8th May – Shopping
9th May – Shopping
10th May – Shopping
11th May – Shopping
12th May – Shopping
So exciting. However, it has then changed to:
8th May – Shopping
9th May – Half day tour at Tiger Zoo at Pattaya (1.5 Hours ride from BKK)
10th May – Night tour to see Calypso (Ah Kua Show)
11th May – Shopping
12th May – Shopping
I tell you when my mum and I went to book for the tour, I was worried I didn’t have enough time to cover the shopping places I have in mind. But, I learnt something, never under estimate the power of a woman especially when shopping is concerned.
DAY 1
Everyone says this should never be missed in BKK, BIRD NEST and SHARKS FIN. I simply had to lay my hands on it. We took Tut-Tut to Chinatown on Day 1 Night, to have yummy Food. The prawns were big and fat and DELICIOUS! We were so so bloated that we simply cannot stomach Sharks Fin for that night, so we walked around China town and headed straight back to the hotel to rest.

Before i slept, i walked around the room, opened the windows wide since i was staying on the 48th floor, then i realized i could peep into my neighbour's room.
Day 2 The morning view from my room, quite cool, to be living on such a high storeyed building.

Our package includes daily buffet in the hotel, it's quite good. My food selection...I told my mum every morning, i'm such a boring person in terms of food.

Too lazy to chew, so i took all these, i had scrambled egg which totally tasted horrible, thats why i didnt even take photos of it. There was a fruit juice corner, so every morning, i had two mini glasses of water melon juice at least. We had to wake up super early, because we're going to the ZOO ZOO ZOO!! I think i just like going to the zoo.
(Photos at the zoo will be updated SOON). Carried a baby tiger CUB, tell me it's not cool. Saw Tiger Show at the zoo, it was AWESOME!!! CANNOT FIGHT!! Tigers sprayed their urine throughout the show.
One thing i liked about BKK, their taxis are PINK. :)

Day 2 Night - Day 5 post shall be up SOON - Part 2. For now, it's so ensure the blog is not DEAD, if not people start mourning...HOR HOR HOR..! I BLOGGED I BLOGGED!!
